Everything You Love Comes Up Like A Stone

October 24, 2017

Everything you love will come up like a stone

Formed like pearls round grains in your guts

So double over as it pushes up

Against your throat and tears apart

The gullet stretch

Everything you love gets stuck in your throat

And stays there blocking breath as you wretch

Wheeze squeeze your neck please please

Let this out of me

And all your joy bursts free release the seas

Of bile that rose up with this thing

Rolling along awash

It stains and burns your teeth and tongue

Buds burnt stumps that taste only

Of everything you love, come up like a stone

Who wants this thing

Now pitted stinking putrid too long

Everything you love is free of you

Changed made strange by time

The wear of chemistry erosion pitted surface

Of everything you love, come up
